‘Blackjack’ is an Oyster 49, serial number 014, and the last but one 49 ever to be built. As the 49s cost Oyster as much to build as the larger 53s production ceased after just 15 boats were built.
Built in Ipswich by Windboats Marine Ltd and launched in 2005, Blackjack was originally commissioned by the previous owner for bluewater cruising. Regrettably this never came to fruition and the yacht was rarely used.
The current owners have enjoyed sailing in the waters of the South-West of England, The Channel Islands, The Isles of Scilly and the Brittany coast of France. Summary of work completed:
