Blue Harmony is an Atlantic ketch built by Peters Boatyard Southend, in 1964.
Designed by Walter Rayner, she was constructed of Iroko planks on an oak frame with a long keel. Approximately 60 wooden Atlantic Ketch’s were built in different UK yards.
Blue Harmony first came to us to have her masts un-stepped. As with all masts we unstep, a detailed visual check is always carried out and on closer inspection, it was noticed that the glue joints in both masts were failing beyond repair, resulting in them having to be condemned.
