Macavity is a Corby 25 built in 2005. She was constructed by Harley Raceboats, of which 20 were built. Most of the Corby 25’s are rigged with a Genoa and inboard, however Macavity has a 100% Jib and an outboard. Macavity has always lived in Falmouth, where her current owners race her regularly. As well as regular series wins, Macavity has won the Savill’s Trophy and the Falmouth Week Champagne race. The year before they won their class in Falmouth week, winning all races and even discarded a first.

Summary of work completed:

• Replace Genoa Halyard
• Boom - Service (Tangs, Sheaves & Gooseneck)
• Spec, supply & fit new winches - Harken (Primaries) = Harken Performa 35PT - Harken (Coach Roof) = Harken Radial 15STA
• Cam cleats - Replace all x10
• Update backstay arrangement, fit additional Cascades, replace hardware and tackle
• Rope Clutches - Supply and fit x5 new Ronstan Textile Rope Constrictor Clutches
• Remove Jib and genoa tracks. Replace with floating jib system
• Rod Kicker - Full breakdown service
• Second kite halyard for the code zero
• Kite sheets - Make up a secondary set including - new shackles. - New snap attach aft turning blocks & lead blocks.

  After an in-depth deck refit, Macavity is now set for another season of great racing around the Carrick Roads and in Falmouth Bay.
