A Swedish owned yacht destined for the Caribbean sailed into Mylor for a re-rig.
During our first mast climb, we noted the spreaders were badly damaged and the existing rigging was hanging off incorrectly sized clevis pins. We immediately un-stepped the mast to investigate the damage further.
Using the expertise of Seaweld to assess the damage we formulated a plan to repair the spreaders whilst re-designing the spreader roots that caused the original damage.
The rigging team working overtime managed to say ‘Bon Voyage’ within 5 days. With extra time in port and under our watchful eye, the owners took the opportunity to undertake much of the mast & winch servicing themselves.
